Creating Positive Change and Leading by Example

Throughout my journey, I've always believed in the power of community and the impact we can have when we come together to create positive change. My commitment to leadership and service has led me to be deeply involved in various committees, business associations, and boards that aim to uplift and empower those around us.

I am proud to be one of the founding members of Edmonton’s first chapter of the Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO), a group dedicated to supporting women in leadership roles. My passion for empowering women extends globally, as I’ve been an active member, ambassador, and leader within the Global Institute for Extraordinary Women (GIFEW). Alongside my sister, I co-lead a vibrant local group that meets regularly to support each other in both personal and professional development, and to rally around causes that resonate deeply with women in our community.

My commitment to community service is also evident through my leadership roles closer to home. As Past President of the Laurier Heights Building Society, I have worked to foster a strong and connected neighborhood. Additionally, I’ve championed important causes through my involvement in various initiatives that aim to make a meaningful difference in our society.

My voice extends beyond local efforts, having written numerous articles for Home Décor and Renovation magazine over the past 12 years. I’ve also contributed to the international best-seller, Solo Explores – Inspiring Stories of Transformation Through Solo Travel, sharing my journey of growth and transformation. For the last decade, I’ve served as an active Family/Patient Advocate within the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, ensuring that the voices of those affected are heard and respected.

But above all these accomplishments, my most cherished role is that of a mother. My son, Levi, has grown into an extraordinary young man who makes me proud every day. With a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, he is now building a successful career as an accountant with a reputable firm in Edmonton. Beyond his professional achievements, Levi is an adventurer at heart—whether he’s climbing mountains, backcountry skiing, marathon running, or trail running, he’s always living life to the fullest.
